How do I get started with MobileX?

Welcome! We are excited to have you join the MobileX family. We have made the process to join MobileX as simple and enjoyable as using the app itself.

Just follow the steps below to join:

  • Provide details about your device
  • Provide details about your phone number
  • Make the payment
  • Install the eSIM or a SIM
  • Start saving!

What plans does MobileX offer?

MobileX has 3 different plan type offerings:

  • 1. NEED A HAND PLAN
  • 2. UNLIMITED PLANS
  • 3. BUILD YOUR OWN PLAN
  • NEED A HAND PLAN

While we offer several plan options, we recommend that most people start with the $4.88 “Need a Hand” Plan.

The Need a Hand Plan Learning Period is a trial period of up to 10 days during which our A.I. Forecaster analyzes your usage habits and builds a fully customized mobile plan just for you.

During the Learning Period, simply use your phone as you normally would. The MobileX A.I. will learn your unique data usage patterns. Once the Learning Period ends, we’ll let you know exactly how much data you used and what your monthly cost will be based on that usage.

This approach gives us accurate insights into your actual data needs. Instead of choosing a plan based on rough estimates, you get one that’s tailored specifically to how you use your phone.

You might be surprised to learn that you use far less data than other carriers have led you to believe. While many providers push expensive unlimited data plans, we believe you should only pay for what you truly need and nothing more. Why pay for data you’re not even using? That just doesn’t make sense.

Just like other carriers, we offer unlimited plans, but with smarter pricing and greater transparency. Our unlimited plans come with a set amount of high-speed data. After that, data speeds are slowed, but as the name suggests, you’ll never be cut off.

Unlike usage-based plans, unlimited plans are a fixed monthly price, no matter how much data you use.

Choose from two plan options:

  • Unlimited 10GB – $14.88/month
  • Unlimited 30GB – $24.88/month

With Build Your Own Plan, you can fully customize your mobile service: choosing your own data, talk, and text options (including international calling). You can add data as needed, and, the best part, you only pay for data that you actually use.

Here’s how it works: any unused data is automatically converted into a bill credit and applied to your next month’s renewal. Plus, you can tweak your plan at any time to match your lifestyle and needs.

What’s included:

  • High-speed data on one of America’s fastest 5G networks
  • Video optimizer*
  • Visual voicemail
  • Data top-ups
  • Wi-Fi Calling**
  • Data rollover*** (unused data becomes a credit!)

* Video Optimizer: Streaming at 480p by default. Higher resolutions (720p, 1080p, 4K) consume more data.

** Wi-Fi Calling requires a compatible device.

*** Any unused data in your custom plan rolls over as a monetary credit applied to your next billing cycle.

How do I activate my iPhone?

Once you’ve created your account in the MobileX app and selected your plan, you’ll be prompted to enter your device’s IMEI number.

The app will provide instructions based on the operating system (iOS or Android) of the device it’s installed on. Since you’re activating an iPhone, follow these steps:
Go to Settings → General → About → IMEI (15 digits). Press and hold the number to copy it, then paste it into the IMEI input field in the app.

After you submit your IMEI, the app will check if your phone is compatible with MobileX, unlocked from other carriers, and capable of using an eSIM.

If your device is eligible for an eSIM, you’ll be prompted to activate it—no need to wait for a physical SIM to arrive by mail.

Finally, choose the phone number you want to use and complete the activation process to install your eSIM or physical SIM.

How do I activate my Android?

Once you’ve created your account in the MobileX app and selected your plan, you’ll be prompted to enter your device’s IMEI number.

Open Settings → About Phone → IMEI (15 digits). Press and hold this number to copy it, then paste it into the IMEI input field in the app.

How do I install an eSIM?

After downloading the MobileX app, creating an account, and entering your IMEI number, the app will check if your device is eligible for an eSIM.Once you finalize your plan details and successfully complete your payment, your number will be ready for installation. (Note: If you’re porting your number from another carrier, you’ll need to complete the transfer to MobileX first.)MobileX will send a system notification to your device with the cellular plan details, based on the IMEI you provided. Tap the notification to begin the installation process.
Alternatively:
  • On iOS: Go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM
  • On Android: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Add Carrier
If you don’t see the notification, check the inbox of the email you used to create your account. MobileX also sends a backup QR code, which you can scan using the same device. Be sure to open the QR code on a desktop or another screen so you can scan it with your phone’s camera.You can also manually enter the eSIM details from the Download and install eSIM screen shown at the end of activation. However, this method is more technical and less recommended unless you’re comfortable with advanced setup steps.

How do I get in touch with XpertCare?

The best way to get in touch with us is through the MobileX app. Within the app, we can pull up your account and get you fully verified. To get in touch with us, simply do the following:

  • Open the MobileX app
  • Go to XpertCare (located in the bottom right-hand corner of the app)
  • Tap “Support requests
  • Tap “Start a new support request
  • Select the option that best fits your needs
  • Fill in a description of your issue with as much detail as possible–Add a file if applicable
  • Tap “Create support request

Note: Once your support request is created, it will show under your Open requests. You can come back to it in the future to respond by tapping on the support request itself.

An alternative method to reach us is via our live chat which can be accessed on www.mymobilex.com. Simply tap the chatbot icon and fill out the necessary information to be directed to the next available representative. It is critical that you provide the email address that is associated with the MobileX account you require assistance with. This is needed so that we can locate you in our systems.
